Cán Tỉ lies on the way to Yên Minh, with open mountain scenery and fewer visitors. It suits motorbike travellers who want a quiet place to sleep and to continue the Loop the next morning after flying.

Homestay, guesthouse or small hotel?

• Family homestay: affordable, home-cooked meals and a warm, personal feel. Shared or simple private rooms. Soundproofing is poor, so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
• Guesthouse: private rooms with en-suite bathrooms, mostly in Tam Sơn.
• Small hotel: more comfortable, suitable for families with young children or older travellers.

At weekends in peak season (October–November, the buckwheat flower season, public holidays and Tết), accommodation in Quản Bạ can be fully booked. Book a few days ahead.

Suggested overnight schedule for an early-morning flight

Day 1 — afternoon:

1. Leave Hà Giang city around 13:00–14:00 and ride about 45 km up to Quản Bạ.
2. Stop at Quản Bạ Heaven Gate and admire the Fairy Twin Mountains (Cô Tiên) in the afternoon light.
3. Check in and have an early dinner.
4. Open our flying weather forecast page to see tomorrow's hourly flying scores, then confirm your time slot with the flying team.

Day 2 — morning:

1. Get up early and have a light breakfast. Wear warm clothes and trainers.
2. Get picked up at your accommodation within the Quản Bạ area.
3. Listen to a 5–10 minute briefing, then take off. Paragliders launch from the 950 m mountainside and land on a flat field at about 450 m beside the river. Paramotors take off straight from the flat field.
4. Collect your photos and GoPro video, check out and continue on the Quản Bạ → Yên Minh stage.

If the morning wind or clouds aren't quite right, the flying team can move you to a later slot that day or reschedule free of charge. So don't plan your itinerary too tightly — keep half a day spare.

All four areas — Tam Sơn, Nậm Đăm, Lùng Tám and Cán Tỉ — are within the free pick-up zone. Tam Sơn is the most convenient, as it sits right in the valley.

Should I book accommodation in advance or find it on arrival?

On weekdays you can find somewhere on arrival. At weekends, in flower season and on public holidays, book ahead to avoid everything being full.

What if we can't fly that day?

The flying team reschedules free of charge when the weather isn't suitable. You can stay an extra night, or fly on your way back if you return via the Du Già → Quản Bạ road.
