Where is the paragliding site in Hà Giang?
Quản Bạ: the main site, flying every day
The site is at Km45 of the Hà Giang Loop, about 45 km from Hà Giang city, or roughly 1 hour 15 minutes along QL4C. You fly over the Lùng Tám valley, right below the Quản Bạ Heaven Gate and the Cô Tiên twin mountains.
- Paragliding (PG): foot launch from a mountaintop at about 950 m.
- Paramotor (PPG): powered take-off from the valley floor beside the Miện River.
- Landing field: at an altitude of about 450 m.
From up high you see tai mèo (cat-ear) limestone peaks, the Miện River valley, fields of corn and buckwheat and, on fine early mornings, a sea of clouds beneath your feet. The Rocky Plateau around the site has no rice terraces; the beauty here is stone, mountains and clouds.
Đồng Văn: paragliding only, scheduled in advance
At Km150, the team runs paragliding flights (no paramotor) over Đồng Văn old town, in the heart of the UNESCO Global Geopark, landing right in Đồng Văn town. Flights are scheduled in advance depending on the wind, so please contact us to book.

What is a tandem flight?
You sit in front in a harnessed seat, while the pilot sits behind you and flies the wing for the whole flight. You need no experience or special skills, just normal health, the ability to run a few steps for a paragliding take-off, and to follow the pilot's instructions.

Paragliding or paramotor?
- Paragliding has no engine: you take off from a mountaintop and glide on the wind. It feels smooth, quiet and very close to nature.
- Paramotor has an engine on the pilot's back and takes off from the valley floor, giving more control over the direction of flight and less dependence on the slope wind.
The two need different weather conditions, so on some sessions paragliding has to wait for the wind while paramotor can still fly, and vice versa.
How does a flying session work?
- Book online and receive your confirmation. The exact meeting point in Quản Bạ commune, Tuyên Quang province, is sent via Zalo/WhatsApp.
- Arrive 30 minutes early at the meeting point to check in: complete the paperwork, sign the insurance confirmation and the liability waiver, and pay.
- Ride up to the take-off in the team's vehicle.
- Get a short safety briefing from your pilot and put on your harness and helmet.
- Fly for the length of your package, with the pilot filming on GoPro throughout.
- Land and receive your photos and video.
For extra angles, add a drone or 360 camera when you book.
What time and season should you fly?
The site operates 06:30–18:30. The best windows are usually 07:00–11:00 and 15:00–17:00: early mornings bring clouds drifting through the valley, late afternoons bathe the stone mountains in golden light. The exact flight time is confirmed on the morning of your flight once the team has checked the wind.

The weather decides everything
Paragliding depends on the wind. The team checks conditions early and may move your flight to another time or day if needed. Weather cancellations are free, and the team will arrange a new slot. Keep your itinerary a little flexible, for example by flying as soon as you reach Quản Bạ so you still have a backup session.
Who can fly
- No experience needed.
- Children from 3 years old can fly.
- Guests over 90 kg, please let us know in advance so the team can arrange a suitable pilot and equipment.
- Normal health is required. Please tell us in advance if you have heart problems, are pregnant, have had recent surgery or have epilepsy.

Booking, cancellation and payment
- Book online with no deposit, nothing to pay up front.
- Free cancellation and rescheduling. Please let us know at least 3 hours in advance via hotline, Zalo or WhatsApp. If you cancel on the day, you only pay costs already incurred, such as drinks or a car that has already come to pick you up.
- Pay at check-in at the flying site, before your flight (while you complete the paperwork and sign the insurance confirmation and liability waiver): cash, bank transfer, card (+3%) or PayPal (+3%).
In peak season, especially weekends in October–November, book early to secure the best time slots.
Combine it with the Hà Giang Loop
Quản Bạ is the first stage on the road from Hà Giang city up to Yên Minh, Đồng Văn and Mèo Vạc. If you are riding a motorbike, just follow QL4C over the Quản Bạ Heaven Gate.
