How are flights scheduled for a large group?
The Mebayluon Paragliding team is made up of Vietnamese and Nepali tandem pilots. For large groups, the team splits everyone into several rounds, each with as many guests as there are pilots available that day. A few things worth knowing:
- Paragliding depends on the wind. Rounds are usually scheduled within the good-wind window, and for a big group this can stretch over several hours.
- Paramotor is more flexible because it takes off from flat ground and has an engine — handy for "sharing the load" when the group is large or when the wind on the slope isn't right yet.
